Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day:

Don't skimp on the photography! It's true that your wedding day will go by so quickly and afterwards, one of the best ways you'll have to remember all of those special moments will be your pictures. Having an incredible, professional photographer there will ensure you have beautiful reminders of your wedding for decades to come!

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?

Can I choose all of them?! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing ceremony pictures and our couple photos we took all around the venue with that gorgeous golden hour lighting! -Brianna

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?

Any pictures of the ceremony to be honest. It was such a beautiful day with friends and family, but the ceremony went by so fast and will be the hardest part to remember decades from now!

How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!)

We met in one of the worst places on Earth! That's a tad dramatic but truly, we met in one of the most desolate places: Clovis, NM. We were both in the Air Force flying the same plane. We both have different but equally as movie-esque recollections of the first time we saw each other. For me, it was when I was in training and happened to be assigned to observe one of Kyle's flights. I thought he was extremely good-looking. Kyle swears he has no memory of this and the first time he saw me was when I was walking down the squadron stairs and he thought the new girl looked pretty good in her flight suit. Truth be told, we didn't know each other well before Kyle left for his first deployment shortly after I arrived at the squadron. It was actually his dog, Beau, that brought us together. Kyle needed someone to watch him over the holidays while he was deployed and I'm a sucker for cute dogs. That was the catalyst for us getting to know one another and forming an incredible foundation of support and friendship as we navigated a difficult job in an isolated location. The rest, as they say, is history!

Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love?

My mom actually picked out this dress! I tried on so many beautiful dresses but I loved the lace details on this one and the train was to die for!

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?Fall Into Me (Acoustic) by Forest Blakk. We both really love the lyrics and feel like it summarizes our relationship perfectly and how both our worlds brightened and became better as soon as we met.

Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day:

I don't think the fact that it was my wedding day really sank in until I saw Bri walking down the hill for the first time. I immediately felt a wave of emotion wash over me, but mostly, I just felt lucky! -Kyle

Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day:

I honestly got tunnel vision! I even had to ask people if the ceremony music was playing loudly enough because once I got down the hill and made eye contact with Kyle, everything else disappeared for me! I felt so happy and couldn't wait to get down the aisle and stand next to him. -Brianna

What was the most emotional part of the day for you?

Definitely exchanging vows. My makeup team did a fantastic job so I was trying REALLY hard not to mess it up but listening to Kyle's amazing vows and even sharing my own were both incredibly special and emotional moments for me. -Brianna

What was the most emotional part of the day for you?

Other than seeing Bri for the first time which was definitely the most emotional part, reading and listening to vows. Especially seeing Bri tear up. My dad's toast was emotional for me as well. I'd never heard him speak in public before, and he did an amazing job! -Kyle

What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember?

Being taken down to the tree for the nighttime shot! Tim did a great job of making sure we were provided a moment to ourselves to internalize the importance of the day and share an intimate moment away from all our guests.

Favorite part of the Phocus Experience?

We cannot stress enough how impressed by and grateful we were for Tim. We truly felt like he went above and beyond to make us feel special and to make our wedding day fun and stress-free. He was so much more than just a photographer there to do a job. He was just incredible. Phocus is true to its promise that their company provides a unique experience that sets them (in my opinion, head and shoulders!) above the competition.

Bri and Kyle were the absolute sweetest couple. It's couples like them that remind my why I have a love for photography. Getting to know them and being able to capture them throughout their perfect day was something so special to me. I hope for years and years of happiness for these two! Congrats Mr. and Mr.s Schoonover!
