Where do I even begin with these two?? A few months ago, we met Morgan and Mackenzie at a local bridal expo and I knew right away that we had to photograph them! Fast forward a few weeks, we got the chance to capture their engagement session in Fort Pickens (which was AMAZING)! We chatted about wedding plans and what they envisioned for their big day....unfortunately due to corona virus
....plans changed. Last month we were approached by our friends at Tap the Coast to photograph a styled session for them! Right away, we thought about using Morgan and Mackenzie as our models! When we asked them, they were TOTALLY up for it! We planned on having a ceremony site set up by Hemstitch Vintage Rentals and Chrissy H Florals as well as Tap the Coast's newest mobile bar addition! Well, what better opportunity to get MARRIED right??!Mackenzie had the chance to try on some dresses at The Bridal Loft and had her hair and makeup done by the AMAZING Blue Magnolia. It was the perfect setup for a spontaneous elopement! We started with a first look and it was the sweetest thing! Mackenzie was so nervous, but you could see and feel the love she had for Morgan!
They wrote and exchanged their own vows with one another and it couldn't have been any sweeter! No distractions, no stress... just the two of them!
This was honestly such a sweet elopement. With the coronavirus and all the negativity going on in the world right now, it was a reminder of the beauty in love. Love truly conquers ALL things. For in these sweet moments, there was no hatred. There was no pandemic. There was just love. It reminds me of WHY we are photographers and WHY we love capturing elopements! You don't always need all the bells and whistles. Don't get me wrong...we love a good party, but sometime keeping it simple can be just as special. Because when it comes down to it, you're marrying the love of your life and no pandemic, rain or anything else can stop that!
