Where to even begin with Jen and Cody's wedding day?! It was a very laid back, and relaxing day! Every detail about their wedding was thought out, and you can see just how much this day meant to Cody and Jen! They are currently both in the service stationed in two different states, and Wisconsin was the middle ground between them both. They somehow planned all the coordination from different states, while in the middle of a pandemic I might add, and it all worked out beautifully! From the moment we arrived, we knew just how important this day was for both of them.

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Brides to Consider:

"Enjoy your wedding, and don’t let the little things worry you on the big day! However, make sure there is someone to coordinate day of and that knows your vision. Make sure the DJ is working with the other vendors to announce everything to the guests."-Jen

Jen is 100% right! Try not to stress over all the small details, because ultimately you are getting to marry your best friend at the end of the day, so try not to spend the day stressing out, but enjoying every moment you can! All the details will fall into place like they are supposed to!

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos?

"The first dance."-Cody

During Cody and Jen's first dance, it was such an imitate moment! Even though all eyes were on them, they did not even notice because they were in their own world on that dance floor.

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos?

"Unity sand ceremony, and cigar shoot."-Jen

We always love getting the opportunity to capture any kind of unity ceremony amongst a blended family, because not only are you and your spouse coming together to unite, you are also uniting your family as one unit. You are both taking on a new role as a new husband or wife, AND becoming a mom or dad! It truly is underrated, because you are all starting a new journey together as a family.

How did you two meet?

Fate has a very funny way of working its way into your life! Sometimes being blindsided can be a bad thing, but on the flip side it could very well be the best thing that will happen in your life!

"I got it from The Bridal Loft. Brand is Stella York."-Jen

We absolutely LOVEEED Jen's dress!! Being in the wedding industry, we see so many different styles of dresses, and we always love to see what our brides choose! We may or may not have bets throughout the Phocus team what we THINK our brides will wear! 9 out of 10 times Timothy is always right!

Cody and Jen could not have picked a more perfect song to share their dance too. It was a special moment for both of them to finally get to have their first dance as husband and wife.

Describe the BRIDE on your wedding day!

"Jennie continues to surprise and inspire me. When we first met, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever laid my eyes on. Seeing her walking down that aisle, I couldn’t help but tear up a bit because she looked so beautiful!"-Cody

Jen looked GORGEOUSSS!! While the bride is getting ready throughout the day, it's almost like puzzle pieces coming together to create this beautiful masterpiece! You have the hair and makeup, and then get into your dress, followed up with the small final touches such as jewelry, shoes, etc! They all have their own significance of the wedding day to create the final masterpiece.

Describe the GROOM on your wedding day!

"Absolutely as handsome as he always looks. On a side note, I am very grateful for him. He’s did a lot to make sure the table setting and decorations were in place. He always tries to make sure I’m happy, for that I am grateful."-Jen

Cody seemed very relaxed though the day, and he held his composure very well! Some grooms can't help but wear their emotions on their sleeves, but Cody did a great job keeping it all under control, and looking good while doing it!

What was the most EMOTIONAL part of the day and WHY?

"Ceremony, I had Jen and Bryce there."-Cody

"Ceremony, it was just beautiful."-Jen

Cody and Jen are right! Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful! From the perfect weather, to the sounds of the birds flying above, it was perfect!

What is ONE moment of your wedding you will always remember?

"The unity sand ceremony, Cody saying I do (twice) and the Cigar shoot!"-Jen

We always love to see our couples break that ice of nerves when they are at the alter by laughing, and enjoying being in the moment! Cody was very excited to finally call Jen his wife that he couldn't help himself and say "I do" twice! It was a long time coming for the both of them, to say the least!

What is ONE moment of your wedding you will always remember?

"The best man speech."-Cody

Depending on how crazy your best man is, those speeches can one way or the other! They will either keep it short and sweet with no embarrassment of "that one time" story, or they will spill all the beans of reminiscing on those times you probably should have gotten in trouble but smooth talked your way out of it! We never know what we are going to get until the best man grabs that mic!

The Wood's wedding day was perfect from start to finish! It was such an honor to be able to travel to Wisconsin to see all of their hard work and dreams come true! We know that they both put in so much time and effort into making sure their day was a great day, and it definitely was! They were able to celebrate this day they've been working so hard for with all of their friends and family that mean the most to them!
