Emily & Charles

Being a group of Pensacola wedding professionals, shooting wedding videos on Pensacola Beach is kinda our bread and butter. There's nothing quite like the gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico in the background of your wedding film. Emily & Charles chose to say, "I do," at the Margaritaville Beach Hotel on Pensacola Beach. We love getting to work with that power team there!

Emily & Charles' day was absolutely breathtaking! One of my favorite moments from their day was how they incorporated a Chinese Tea Ceremony before the actual ceremony!

Couple's Reflection Interview:

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day: Do what you as a couple wants for your wedding; not what everyone else wants! Also, I wish we booked him for the whole night; I didn't realize we were doing a last dance.

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? (bride's response) I really want to see my Charles's reactions and Dallas walking down the aisle. What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? (groom's response) I want to see the first dance and Emily walking down the aisle.

How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!) We met via bumble. I was a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist ,and Charles was in flight school in Pensacola. We both had a lot time off in the summer and used bumble to meet new people; neither of us really was looking for anything relationship-wise. The first thing Charles ever said to Emily was "Hey I think you are pretty cute but I can't help but notice your dog is not wearing a seatbelt. I am going to have to report you". From this first message, I could tell Charles was a funny guy but his message also kind of made me mad. I actually remember screenshooting it and sending it to my best friend Emmy. Emmy told me to go on a date with him. I reluctantly went on a first date was at Foskos with Charles. We hit it off and Charles asked me the ultimate question: "Do you eat pineapple on your pizza?; this is a dealbreaker if you don't". I told him I do and then he asked me to go to Ozone's with him but first I had to take Dallas out to go potty. I didn't get scary vibes from Charles , so he ended up meeting Dallas on the first date then we got our pineapple pizza At the end of the date, he asked me to see me again. I waited to hear from him for a couple of days and found out that he messaged my dog's instagram about going on another date with me. Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love? I loved the sparkly tulle on the dress and the buttons on the back of the dress! I feel like it would be pretty on the beach. I wanted a dress that matched the vibe of Charle's Marine Corps uniform. What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it? We danced to "Amazed" by Lonestar because our first concert we attended together was a Lonestar concert. (For the Groom) Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day: I was so happy to see Emily; she looked so beautiful. She kept telling me it was a purple dress to throw me off.

(For the Bride) Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day: We had a lot of flukes happen the hour before I saw him but I felt relaxed seeing my best friend.

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? (bride's response) It is a tie between reading our vows together privately and my dance with my dad. It hit me how real it is during those two moments.

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? (groom's response) The most emotional part of the day was when we read our vows together privately before the ceremony.

What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember? Charles: The last dance was probably the moment we both will always remember forever. I put the request for it with the DJ and it was so special to dance just the two of us. I think Caleb left before he could see it. We danced to "Forever After All" by Luke Combs. Emily: The moment I saw all my loved ones smiling at me when I was walking down the aisle. I was in awe that our loved ones were all in one place at one time. Also, my niece Abby dancing the entire reception was so sweet!

Favorite part of the Phocus Experience? We liked talking with and getting to know Caleb. It really seemed like he really cared and loved his job.
