We had the great pleasure of capturing Mr. and Mrs. Wilson's Pensacola Beach Wedding. It was the most perfect day with amazing weather. It could not have been an more beautiful. Congrats to you guys!
Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day:
Let someone else manage your phone and any obstacles for the day! Don’t sweat the small problems because you wont even notice them and your guests definitely will not.
What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
Definitely our first kiss as husband and wife and our bubble exit with our family and friends.
-Mackenzie
What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video?
The balcony pictures with just me and my wife. -Hunter
How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!)
Hunter slid into my DM’s on Instagram under false pretenses, believing I (Kenzie) had asked for him to reach out because I was interested in him (our moms had met at the town park and planned the whole thing behind our backs). We technically went the the same high school for a while but we didn’t know each other until after I (Kenzie) had moved away for college.
Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love? I knew I was looking for a Grecian-inspired dress because I wanted that subtle-Venus emerging from the seafoam look for the entire wedding. My dress was the very last one I tried on after a day of busts and it was exactly what I was looking for. My husband has sensory considerations as well and the texture and softness of the dress as well as how lightweight and beautiful I knew it would look at our venue (Pier Suites Events) sold me immediately.
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
Hunter had the task of choosing the first dance song since I chose the ceremony music, he chose “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney because “I felt like it fit our relationship well.”
Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day:
Calm, less stressed. I was hoping she wouldn’t cry because I didn’t feel like crying haha. I don’t like crowds but I was much calmer once she walked down the aisle. -Hunter
Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day:
I was happy and excited when I saw him. I was happy he didn’t look uncomfortable and I tried to hurry up but my dad (who was walking me down the aisle” kept telling me to slow down -Kenzie
What was the most emotional part of the day for you?
After ceremony but before we started taking pictures while the reception was being set up, I got pretty emotional and overwhelmed. Our ceremony was super short and I remember thinking “I don’t feel married, when do I feel married” The answer, by the way, is about 48 hours later when it all set in and the emotions and stress all wore off! -Kenzie
What was the most emotional part of the day for you?
Probably when she walked down the aisle, after that I was pretty much alright the rest of the day.
-Hunter
What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember?
Probably our first dance for me (Kenzie), I knew Hunter would be nervous about it, but he really wasn’t and we were able to talk and enjoy each others company without worrying about all the eyes on us. When the song was most of the way over I cued my MOH and her husband to dance with us and most of our guests joined us for the last verse of the dance, which was a great experience that made the whole thing less nerve-wracking and more memorable for the both of us.
Favorite part of the Phocus Experience?
Tim and Sam were fantastic! They took every concern we had into account and were so easy to talk to and work with throughout the entire experience. They shined on our wedding day when they showed up and really helped the whole day move along smoothly. We loved having them be part of our wedding day and we can’t wait to see all of their hard work and artistry come to fruition!
