Pirl Wedding

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day: Relax and just enjoy the day!! Try not to stress over any of the littles things (or even big things) because ultimately the day is just about your love and commitment to your partner!

There is no " perfect" way to have a wedding. Weddings come in all different shapes and sizes. You just have ti figure out what fits you and your dream of a wedding. For Kirstie and Shane it was intimate vows prior to the guests arriving and then a party for a reception. It was simple, yet perfect.

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? The photos of just me and Shane being silly together for some of the shots! We’re awkward and I’m here for it. -Kirstie

Most couples that say they're awkward in front of a camera end up being some of the sweetest in front of it. Kirstie and Shane were so fun together and definitely knew how to work the camera.

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? First look photos and our vows being spoken in the video! -Shane

We love the intimate alone moments that happen throughout the wedding day. For Kirstie and Shane, the moments before everyone arrived while doing their personal vow exchange was some of the most heartfelt of the day......Just the two of them reading from their heart.

How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!) The first time I saw him was actually on Facebook in a tagged photo of him dressed up for Halloween as Harry Potter at my previous office. In December 2020 I transferred back to SHMG Cardiology- two months after seeing each other in the hallways briefly and introducing myself to him (my sad attempt at making myself known). He finally reached out and asked if I wanted to grab a cup of coffee. We went to Coffee Guy for a little coffee date the next morning. Masks were required in our office so I hadn’t actually seen his face in person yet: We spent 3 hours just talking to each other and smiling (the mask was hiding his charming smile). We’ve been inseparable ever since!

Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love? Besides the dress being absolutely gorgeous! It was really comfortable and easy to move in.

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it? Shane chose James Arthur “Falling like the stars”- He played it for me to listen to because he felt like the lyrics were perfect for us!

Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day: I felt excited and anxious! A good anxious!!-Shane

You could 100% see the excitement on Kirstie's face when she saw Shane for the first time on the wedding day. The joy, the happiness, and even a little nerves were all over her. It was the sweetest thing.

Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day: Excited and so happy!! Our day was finally here! -Kirstie

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? The father and daughter dance, my dad started to talk about my aunt (his sister) and how she would have been there at the wedding. (She was so happy for us and excited for the wedding and to finally meet Shane but sadly passed away a couple of months ago). -Kirstie

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? Exchanging our vows in a more private setting!

What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember? Looking around the venue while we danced and seeing all of our friends and family there- we had quite a few people that had traveled far to come celebrate our love!

Favorite part of the Phocus Experience? The more private photo and video sessions before the reception entrance!

We had so much fun capturing these two. Congrats to Kirstie and Shane!!

Here are some of our favorites from the day!
