Where to begin with the Peter's special day!?! We could not have hoped for a more perfect day. The weather was JUST right, and there was so much excitement floating in the air around Sowell Farms. Do you ever just wake up and feel like your day is going to be a good one? The Peter's wedding day was exactly that feeling. We arrived and just KNEW!! Will and Kharas were a blend of excited, nervous, and happiness from the start! They waited a long time for this day to finally come to pass, and you could see it all over their faces!

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Brides to Consider:

"Go with the flow! I knew of a few photos I wanted, but letting you guys (the experts) lead most of the photography was easy, and turned out great!" -Kharas

We ALWAYS love when our couples come to us with ideas that they are wanting for some photos. We are very open minded to always trying new ideas! It gives us the room to always grow as photographers, and our couples really get involved with their ideas, and we LOVE it! So if you are nervous to come to us with an idea, DON'T BE!! We are here for IT and YOU! Sometimes our ideas may seem crazy and slightly scary, but they ALWAYS make for amazing photos. For example, we saw this patch of flowers on the ground and our imagination started to run wild, so we presented Will and Kharas with our idea. Of course, Will being who he is, he was DOWN for it!! Kharas was a little hesitant at first, but she just needed a little bit of persuasion from her man, and IT PAID OFF!!! I meannn COME ON!!! These two are LEGIT models!! Thank you for trusting our crazy ideas, because now you will ALWAYS have this memory to look back on!

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos?

"The barn door/prayer!"-Kharas & Will

This intimate moment shared between Will and Kharas will be one we will never forget. The love these two share for one another was BEAUTIFUL to capture. While Will prayed for their day, and all the future days to come, we all had chills from head to toe while witnessing such a powerful moment. This is TRULY what it is all about. "Two becoming one" is such a cliché saying, but when you make that commitment with one another, you are finally combining one life with another to start the new one together. We are getting to capture this commitment finally come together right before our eyes, and we could not be more honored to be a part of it.

How did you two meet?

"We met our freshman year of college! A friend of ours set us up on a blind date, and the rest is history!"

They always say, "when you know, you just know", and let's just say Will and Kharas just KNEW they were made for one another. They needed a little help from their friend to get the journey started, but now they will continue creating new memories and opening new chapters in the future to keep that journey going!

Tell us about THE dress!

"I went to one store, the Bridal Loft! I only tried on 6 dresses, and mine was the fourth one I tried on. However, as soon as I put it on I knew it was perfect for me. It is very simple, but the train had such beautiful detailing and it was stunning!"-Kharas

Kharas absolutely OWNEDDDD her dress!! I know I don't have to say it, but she looked absolutely GORGEOUS!!! A true QUEEN walked around Sowell Farms on this day!

Tell Us About Your First Dance!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST DANCE SONG?:

"Grow Old" by Florida Georgia Line-Kharas

Watching Will and Kharas glide across the dance floor truly was a magical moment!

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT SONG?:

"We are both southern at heart, and we love FGL!! The words in the song relate to us so well. We always pray over a long healthy marriage that will lead us to "grow old" together."-Kharas

We always love to witness our couples during their first dance, because as the seconds pass by, you can see more and more that everyone in the room begins to fade. They are taking in the moment, and truly enjoying being in each other's arms. There is SO much going on in a wedding day, but in their first dance, they finally get a moment to breathe, and share it with their best friend. Kharas and Will were in their own world, like it should be in this moment.

Describe the BRIDE on your wedding day!

"(He is in an army training, and he won't be back for a while) Sorry!!! But he cried twice, so I would say he was happy! LOL!"-Kharas

Since Will cannot give his input about his bride at this moment, we will do the honors...she was STUNNINGGGGGG!!! Kharas told us from the start of the day that Will was not the most emotional man, but when he saw his bride for the first time, we would beg to differ!!

Describe the GROOM on your wedding day!

"Will was everything, and more on our wedding day. He wrote the sweetest letter, and prayed over us before the ceremony. I could not have asked for a better way to start off our wedding day! He looked so handsome, especially wearing his cowboy boots! Watching him dance with his mom was another highlight of our day. He truly lights up a room when he walks in it, and knows how to have fun!" -Kharas

Will was looking FLY, and he knew it!! He's got that smolder down, and he OWNED it!

What was the most EMOTIONAL part of the day and WHY?

"Seeing Kharas walk down the aisle."-Will

For someone not being a very emotional man, I would definitely say that Will was overwhelmed with emotions when seeing his bride walking down the aisle. We all had bets on if he would cry or not, at let's just say, we won! It's okay for grown men to cry!! No need to fight it, just let it out...or else we may or may NOT have some pepper spray handy, per the bride's request, to MAKE those tears fall!!

What was the most EMOTIONAL part of the day and WHY?

"Writing my letter, and seeing Will cry when I walked down the aisle." -Kharas

There is NOTHING like seeing the groom's reaction to seeing his bride walking down the aisle for the first time. From the moment the groom wakes up, his mind starts going nonstop about seeing his bride for the first time. When that moment finally comes, their emotions start to flood in, and they feel everything all at once. In this moment, you begin to see their face light up, and you know they have made the best decision of their life! Will's face says it all. He knew that God had the perfect woman for him, and that is Kharas.

What is ONE moment of your wedding you will always remember?

"Will praying over us, and reading his special letter to me."-Kharas

When Will and Kharas read their letters to each other, their words were straight from their hearts. Years of learning every little thing about one another, and finding out what makes them tick, all boiled down to this moment. The moment where they proclaimed WHY and HOW they knew...the love they shared was always inevitable.

Favorite Part of the Phocus Experience?

"EVERYTHING OMG! Y'all were fabulous! You all were so easy and fun to be around! Everyone loved every minute of y'all being there!" -Kharas

Will and Kharas's wedding was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. We know that their life is going to be full of adventure, and there will never be a dull moment with Will by Kharas's side! They are the perfect balance for one another, and we are absolutely honored to forever be a part of their special day.
