Eden + Aidan

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Brides to Consider: "Just have fun! It’s your big day enjoy it!"-Eden

We always tell our brides to take in every moment...whether you hire us or some other lucky photographer! Although the wedding day seems like it takes forever to get here, it's over in the blink of an eye! So make sure to stop and take in all the little moments of the day.

What was one thing you loved about Eden and Aidan's wedding? "Oh My Gosh, Where do I begin?? Eden is such a talented artist. She hand painted each part of the venue to use as her invites and they were absolutely STUNNING! I've never seen anything like it!"-Phocus

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos?

"Eden walking down the aisle."-Aidan

"The big kiss!!! And the camel pictures!"-Eden

The one thing Eden mentioned that she HAD to have was the camel photos...It was a bit of a challenge but we got it! If you know Charlie the Camel, he's not the most personal camel...BUT he LOVESSS carrots. Thanks to Dj Tom (he's apparently a camel whisperer) we got him to come over and the shots turned out perfect!

How did you two meet? "We met 10 yrs ago on a mission trip, and became close friends. After the trip we went lived basically parallel lives till on fact full night. I had moved back to town and was working at Starbucks, and Aidan ended up coming through one night. We instantly reconnected and the rest is history!"

Tell us about THE dress! "It was everything I imagined and ended up being free!

2 days after I was engaged I went with my mom, future mother law, sister in law, grandma, and best friend to find a dress before they all left(they live out of town). It ended 35 dresses later in tears... luckily I heard of the bridal loft and got an appointment the next day. I walked in and felt much more comfortable . I ended up trying only 3 dresses and knew my dress was it. I felt gorgeous with no spanx no make up and greasy hair. Plus is fix almost perfectly. It had traditional lace, that was almost identical to my moms, straps to hold the girls and buttons all the way down my cathedral train! I love it

A bit later I went to the bridal expo hosted by the bridal loft and ended up winning a free wedding dress

So yes I have a free wedding dress"

Tell Us About Your First Dance! " We danced to I cross my heart by George straight. We both liked it - we aren’t big dancers so it was classic, sweet, and we both knew it well."

Describe the BRIDE on your wedding day! "Literal Perfection."-Aidan

Describe the GROOM on your wedding day! "The only person I wanted to see. Everyone didn’t matter, I just wanted him." -Eden

What was the most EMOTIONAL part of the day? "Right when those gates opened and I saw her. I couldn’t contain the emotions."-Aidan

"Waiting for the doors to open and walk down the aisle."-Eden

Eden and Aidan were so sweet together, they spent the day gravitating toward one another. Where one was, there was the other. I could tell photos were very important to Eden. At the end of the night, right after their exit, we spent a few minutes getting some bonus night shots of the two of them. It was the perfect ending to the most perfect day!

We love when our couple's trust us...when we have a few ideas we want to try or a different location for a specific shot. Eden 100% trusted us and it made for some of my favorite shots of the night. Right after their exit, we took the two of them to do some night shots and they turned out gorgeous... (not to mention Eden's jean jacket) If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of jean jackets on the wedding day!

Favorite Part of the Phocus Experience? YOU GUYS!!!!!! Timothy and Audrey are AMAZING!

At the end of the day, the wedding is about the two of you. There's no "right" way to have a wedding day. It should be a reflection of you both as a couple. Right before the reception starts, I always let our couples know that it's okay to take a few moments to yourself. Take a breather, go have 5 minutes together to reset and have a moment with your new wife and hubby. Don't worry about everyone else...they are there for YOU. Be There NOW...because next thing you know, you're waking up on your honeymoon wandering where the day went.
