Ashley & Thomas

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Couples to Consider About The Wedding Day: Have a wedding coordinator, or an amazing MOH that can be a jack of all traits. They were a big help in making sure the wedding ran smoothly and on time and kept up with all my vendors.

Having the right set of bridal party on your big day is so important. Every girl needs that hype crew to raise the energy of the day. Whether it's taking care of all those extra little details or just simply standing by her side at the end of that aisle, picking your crew shouldn't be taken lightly.

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? (bride's response) Thomas's first look and how he reacted.

The excitement on Thomas's face was one of those moments where you just smile behind your camera. Parts like these are some of my favorite throughout the day. Being a wedding photographer, we get to see moments throughout the day that most guests at the wedding don't...and we 100% love it. Moments like the first look, parents moments or even personal vows after the ceremony,

What moment were you most looking forward to seeing in the photos/video? Our facial expressions during the ceremony, from the moment Ashley walked in until the the moment we were pronounced husband and wife.-Thomas

How did you two meet? (Tell us all those little details!) We met at my best friend's dinner rehersal five years ago. He was a best man for her husband and her and I were just becoming friends. He had to leave early and was struggling with backing out and I told him "if you need help driving your truck, I can drive it for you." Those were the only words spoken to each other that day. It was two days later he was getting my information to where we could become friends and get to know each other. From there we just clicked and have been together since then.

We've known Ashley for quite sometime. She booked us back in the day (which seems like forever ago). So when I say getting to that wedding day seemed like forever, it really did. There's one thing about sitting down with a couple during a consult chatting about all those dreams they have for the wedding and actually being at the wedding and seeing that dream come to reality.

Tell us about THE dress! What made you fall in love? From the moment I got engaged, I knew I wanted a high low rustic look dress. The day I tried on dresses,I knew it was the one when I first put it on because it was me to a tee. Simple, rustic, and most importantly you could see my boots.

What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it? You had me from Hello by Kenny Chesney We chose that song because it fit perfect with our story line. There were just a few words spoken but that was enough to get us where we are today.

(For the Groom) Describe what you felt when you saw your bride on your wedding day: All emotions just came to life: happiness, excitement, nervousness. Reality hit that I was fixing to be a married man when I saw her.

(For the Bride) Describe what you felt when you saw your groom on your wedding day: The nervousness I had left when I saw him and I just felt overwhelming joy.

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? (bride's response) When my brother first started playing the saxophone for "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. We have always been close and part of that bond was because of music. I played the saxophone for 3 years and stopped but the whole time I played he watched and even tried playing and then he picked it up. Now he is becoming a music major. So it meant the world to me that he took the time to write the whole song into saxophone music and play it.

What was the most emotional part of the day for you? (groom's response) When Ashley surprised me with a virtual video from my brother since he could not attend the wedding.

GET. THE .TISSUES. OUT. If you don't know Ashely, this right here will tell you how thoughtful she is. When Thomas saw that video of his brother, I knew for sure he was going to lose it. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in site. If you ask me, that's one of the best gifts she could have given him on their wedding day.

What is ONE moment of your day that you will always remember? The look on each other's face when the ceremony first began. And the surprised reactions from Thomas's family when the virtual video of his brother started playing.

There were so many sweet moments throughout the day with Ashley and Thomas. Being able to capture their all the emotional moments throughout the day was something so special to us. It reminds me of the reason behind what we do. We 1) get to see the whole wedding season from engagement photos to the actual wedding day, and 2) Get to see all those little moments that may seem small to someone looking from the outside, but mean the world to our couple.

Here are some of our favorites throughout the day!
