Amanda and Jeremiah's Jacksonville Wedding

Where do we even begin... Last July, we were shooting a wedding in Baltimore. It was there that we met Jeremiah! Little did we know he was engaged and soon getting married in Jacksonville... and guess what... he didn't have a photographer yet! Fast forward to this January, we arrived in Jacksonville at Epping Forrest Yacht Club. All I can say is BREATH-TAKING VENUE. Everything about this place was gorgeous. From the mossy trees, to the 1900's mansion, this place was the PERFECT location for Jeremiah and Amanda's wedding!

Number One Tip for Future Phocus Brides to Consider:

"Remember that you don't have to worry about making every moment perfect! There is a lot of support around you, Tim and Audrey included,  to help make the day special and memorable!"-Jeremiah

How did you two meet?

"We met in college. We were both teaching summer science and technology classes to high school students at a STEM camp. Jeremiah was hosting movie nights every night for the instructors and was always so happy to see me! It grabbed my attention and he just never went away after that!"

Tell us about THE dress!

"It. Was. Gorgeous. She looked like a princess walking down that aisle. There was just enough fluff in the train, just enough lace and bead work in the bodice. The cut accentuated her slim frame and she took my breath away."-Jeremiah

(For the Groom) Describe the BRIDE on your wedding day!

"She blew me away. I knew she was initially stressed and worried about things, but when she walked down the aisle I forgot how to breathe! When she danced with her father, everyone got to witness a piece of the relationship that I'm proud to bear witness too. And there were moments when she and I looked at each other that will be burned into my memory forever!"- Jeremiah

(For the Bride) Describe the GROOM on your wedding day!

"He was calm and cool as he always it. I've seen him wear that uniform many times, but he was especially strong and handsome that day."-Amanda

What was the most EMOTIONAL part of the day and WHY?

"For me it was probably when Eric and Sabrina gave their welcome speech to the reception. Ms. Sabrina openly welcomed me to the family and called me her son, and that meant the world to me <3!"-Jeremiah

"Definitely the father-dance. As an only child, my dad and I have always been very close. He started tearing up so naturally I did too."-Amanda

What was one of your favorite moments of the day to capture?

"Definitely the father daughter dance. I could tell from the beginning of the day that Amanda's dad is very special to her. I knew that their dance together was going to be a real tear-jerker... and boy was I right! -Phocus Photography
