The Phocus Awards is literally one of our favorite times of the year. It's the night that we get to celebrate and party with all of our couples and wedding vendors we got to work with in the previous year. We've been able to keep this tradition for 4 years now, and we hope to continue it til we're old and grey. Although, Tim's twerking may look a bit different by that point.
Although we do this annually, this year's event was extra special, as this was our first as the new Phocus & Company. As you know, we merged with the team at Salt + Light Visuals in January to one dream team. This year's photo backdrop featured a neon sign that reads our catch phrase, "Better Together." We thought incorporating it into this year's Phocus Awards was super important, because it so accurately represents everything Phocus & Company stands for. Not only do we believe that all of our couples are truly Better Together, but we know that our team is Better Together, now that we are no longer just Phocus Photography and Salt and Light Visuals. Then you add the amazingly talented Pensacola wedding vendors that we get to work with, and you have a wedding powerhouse. We truly believe that all of us are Better Together!
This year's event was held at the beautiful Pier Suite Events on Pensacola Beach. It made the perfect space for our Miami Vice theme. Our vision for this year's event was neon, beachy, and all white. You guys CAME THROUGH with the all white dress code. A huge thank you to Luxe Event Rentals for capturing our vision completely with decor and rentals.
The Phocus team provided a margarita bar, bartended by the amazing Tap the Coast, and the cutest, little dessert shooters for refreshments. Audrey was the brains behind these dessert shooters, and not to toot our own horn, but I think they turned out amazing! My personal favorite was the brownie/cookie shooters. I lost count of how many I personally ate after 4.
The entire night felt like a huge party, thanks to Josh with Highlight Weddings & Events for his sick DJ skills. We all ended up dancing the entire night away.
